The Bone Pit~
This photo was taken at the mouth of a dormant volcano crater, but large clouds of smoke occasionally do waft up. It reminded me of the Bone Pit Mines, and was thusly named.
The volcanic rock there had a very interesting texture, being semi-porous like all igneous rocks are wont to be, but the ones at the rim of the rock face were also bleached white like bone...maybe some calcium deposits snuck in there?
Taken during my "Halloa! Live Life!" experience, summer 2012.
